HYPNOTIZED FOR HOCKEY!
LA Kings, Dean Kennedy
Demonstrates Using HYPNOSIS for his Mental Game of Hockey.

This video shows my Sports Hypnosis Coach,  Mentor & boss using hypnosis with Dean Kennedy when he was a Defenseman for the Los Angeles Kings. Dean was already a great hockey player but in Dean's mind, he can always be better. "You work so much on the physical part, but the mental part is bigger then the physical part."   Dean would get hypnotized by Pete in person before every home game & by phone when they were on the road. Dean told me that after this video clip aired he was told that this video was sent to every team in the NHL & that many hockey players had seen it and were intimidated by him and that this was very helpful because confidence and intimidation are such a big part of hockey.

The average hockey players will spend countless hours practicing  physical drills & little to no time working on mental hockey drills and this is why most hockey players are average. HYPNOSIS WILL GET YOU THERE!

Self Confidence is the #1 greatest asset a hockey player can have.
So if you want to play at YOUR FULL POTENTIAL...
This HYPNOSIS MENTAL TOUGHNESS TRAINING PROGRAM WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER HOCKEY PLAYER.

NHL HOCKEY LEGEND Wayne Gretzky
Probably was the greatest Hockey Player of ALL TIME and had the best physical & Mental Game. He was filled with Self Confidence, Mental Toughness, Focus. He also played hockey with great instinct as he had
an intuitive instinct for the game then anyone else in hockey.
My guess is that he either worked with a hypnotherapist on his mental game or perhaps he just figured out the importance of a mental game on his own.

Mental game training is 90% of the game! Clearly not every hockey player
who dreams of playing professional hockey at an elite level can be a Wayne Gretzky
But through hard work, heart & working on your mental game using hypnosis & visualization & other secret mind training drills &  techniques for confidence, focus & playing as the MAXIMUM YOU
like the ones that you will learn from this proven hockey training program you can at least get yourself from wherever you are in hockey to a very high level. With mental game training you will get better much faster than other players because mental game training is something that most other hockey players
won't spend any time on.

LIVE THE DREAM!

If you made it all the way to the bottom of the page there's a few more things that every hockey player should know

Regardless of how you train or how good you are. It's going to be a lot tougher then you think.  Your going to have to get better every shift, every period every game, even every practice. its hard to make a great play every night. You'll have to play above your size ALL THE TIME! You go to the net every time.  But even if you do this and even if you have
"talent" you will have far more "talent" if you have a VERY STRONG MENTAL GAME.

When you spend time on the mental game of hockey it's easier to prepare & to remake yourself at every practice & game & to push yourself, execute even when you are tired & in pain.  If you are going to keep your job or take someone's job so that you earn your spot on a team or as a starter you have to work harder & to perform.
You have to not let anyone beat you off the boards.  If he's your man you beat him off the boards. The problem of course is that both of you want this, so if both of you have equal speed its the guy with the stronger mental game who will get the puck.
You must have more intensity, more commitment, more drive more desire,  then everyone else. Quality passes, quality shots, quality everything, EVERY TIME SET FOOT ON THE ICE!

Someone will lead their hockey team to the Stanley Cup, someone will be named rookie of the year, someone will be named MVP, someone will be the next Wayne Gretzky or Gordie Howe. That someone might as well be YOU!

Some players & coaches think hockey is about take a hit it make a play, that's hockey!  But there is far more to it than that. There is an entire MENTAL side to it. In fact the best players in hockey will tell you that success in hockey is  90% mental

Here is a wonderful motivational hockey slogan from the Boston Bruins Locker Room

"WE ARE WHAT WE REPEATEDLY DO.
EXCELLENCE THEREFORE IS NOT AN ACT, BUT A HABIT!"

Looking for a competitive advantage is part of the game of hockey or any sport of course. Sure you've got to workout, practice, and keep your body super strong and tough and that's why the average hockey player is looking for some piece of hockey equipment or gear or even an illegal hockey stick that will help them get stronger or faster or they are searching for a super secret hockey drill that will give them some help with  better skating or shooting. But no matter how much time you spend working on your physical practice. The biggest advantage in hockey comes from working on your mental game.

This is because your mind controls your body. Your commitment to WINNING  must start before you even set foot in the locker room. Convincing yourself that you are capable of WINNING, that you will NOT let the other team score, that you are totally CONFIDENT in yourself, that you own the ice, that you know where other players are going to go and when they are going to get there and that your instinct tells you where the puck will go and what all the moving  parts are in the game and how you best fit in to all those moving parts, that you are going to come out hard, out work everyone,  STAY FIRED UP, MOTIVATED, playing with intensity and an urgency that other players don't have,  never take your foot off the gas or the puck will be in the back of your net and that you will play hockey the way that you know that you are capable of & get the job done  beat the other team and WIN!
If you are serious about training the mental game of hockey, I put this here just for you as my gift to you for reading this far down the page.
Here is a little but very powerful  visualization exercise mental game drill for hockey players that you can do immediately that will make you a better hockey player starting immediately.
This mental drill is not for goalies / goalenders.
You can do this right before practice or a hockey game.
Take a few long slow deep breaths in and out and close your eyes on down and visualize yourself playing for the hockey team of your choice in the position of your choice and imagine that you just won the Stanley Cup and you are on the ice raising up the cup and feeling all those feelings of victory, and you are seeing, hearing and feeling yourself as a CHAMPION and then while holding on to those feelings  mentally review this imaginary game as if you are watching yourself playing it back on video in slow motion and see yourself and your teammates You know that no matter where you are that ice is YOUR ICE!

YOU set the tone with your killer instinct. You are a WARRIOR. You are playing every move and every shift and every period as the MAXIMUM YOU, establishing your identity quickly, your every move is fueled by un-flenching determination, you are physical and you move the puck fast and drive the pace of the game playing every shift from the first whistle to the last whistle the way that you know that you not only SHOULD PLAY - BUT- MUST PLAY, aggressively, passionately,  confidently,  with intensity, focused, digging deep, dominating every play and  into your mental and physical reserve going to the places where you go to get pucks, pass accurately and you have a scoring touch and you tip pucks and jam pucks and  you are in control of the puck and you go to the net and  SCORE and every time you do, you don't expect anything else but to score. You know that no matter where you are that ice is YOUR ICE!

YOU set the tone with your killer instinct. Your presence on the ice is definitely known. You are playing your best hockey, excited, very aggressive but mentally relaxed and confident, you are in control of your emotions.  You play hard on both ends of the ice, you play through your competitors finishing your checks, scoring goals especially on the power plays. Your hits give you and your team momentum and deflates the other team. All of your moves are smooth and automatic and you just glide across the ice because it's YOUR ICE and the puck is YOUR puck, Each goal that you score gives you more and more CONFIDENCE.  You stay committed & focused & in the moment.  With each goal you feel more and more CONFIDENT."  Now review this experience over and over in your mind and FEEL YOURSELF PLAYING HOCKEY AS THE MAXIMUM YOU! -

After a few minutes of doing this and end this powerful and awesome hockey visualization session  the way that it  began where you see yourself as the CHAMPION, HOLDING THE STANLEY CUP and then slowly open your eyes and notice how AWESOME YOU FEEL!  If you are doing this right before practice or a game  this is a great way to mentally prime and prepare yourself,  then go PLAY HOCKEY!

If you made it all the way to the end of this hockey page. I placed this awesome hockey video below because it shows clips as well as hockey players discussing some of the 10 most skilled hockey players of all time

Meanwhile there is a snippet below.

Los Angeles Kings Defenseman, Dean Kennedy Hypnotized!

In the news story above you will see retired NHL Hockey player, Dean Kennedy former LA Kings Defenseman being hypnotized by legendary  Sports Hypnotherapist Peter Siegel. Pete was my Sports Hypnotherapy  mentor & coach. Whenever I work with a hockey player or any other athlete, the mental game coaching that I do using hypnosis & mental game / mental toughness strengthening with hockey players & other athletes is based on the training that Pete gave me.

Recently I called, Dean up at his ranch in Canada & he spoke with me about his experience using hypnosis for mental game training with Peter Siegel. Here is the  short version of our interview. I will post the entire interview soon.

"Hypnosis for mental game training really helped me FOCUS on the game.  I was immediately way more intense. It was a big plus for my hockey career without question. Pete helped me to be the BEST THAT I COULD BE!

Jay Wells & Mark Hardy were the first hockey players on the LA Kings To work with Pete Siegel on mental game / mental toughness training for hockey. Sports Hypnosis was considered very weird & 'way out there.' Pete was doing stuff nobody believed in & I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to work with him & I'm glad I did.  Working with Pete on the mental game was a 'rocket ship.' I went straight up.

The hypnosis, training, drills were a big tool in the tool box that helped me improve my hockey skills. "It really helped me FOCUS on the game.  I was immediately way more intense. It was a big plus for my career without question. It gave me the ability to 'focus like a heat seeking missile' take my aggression from 'wild' to what I call, mature, controlled aggression so that I played  on the ice controlled & yet very intense. Mental game training also helped me separate what I had to do away from the game so I could flip off unrelated thoughts. That video also helped with intimidation, which is a big part of hockey."

GOALIE JAMIE STORR FROM LOS ANGELES KINGS
Talks about using hypnosis with Pete Siegel.

Donnie Edwards our Goalie Coach or Andy Murray brought him in as one of the was to help the players prepare more, understand different mindsets & be better professionals.  We were in a one Goalie rotation for the next 6 weeks so I had come off a 4-5 win streak & they wanted to see if they could maintain that high level of intensity.

Training with hypnosis, working on the mental game of hockey  was the first time I got a feeling  that there is a side outside of just physically playing hockey & being the best you can be. There's also a mental side where what you lack in certain areas you can make up for in your brain with want & desire.

Pete was intense and passionate. His  eyes could light up a room. He hypnotized me in the back of the rink & gave me hypnosis tapes that I played at night before a game & after a game. It was constant reinforcement on how to be the best you can be  & get the most out of yourself & mentally get yourself up for what you want to become. It was very interesting. He could get in your head & help me fire myself up and control my own mindset & to prepare & be more consistent. It was beyond  just saying, "I'm the best goalie or best hockey player" but mentally ordering myself to BE the best goalie in hockey.

It helped me be a better professional.  I thought it was really good & it helped me  get myself past the point that I was at. It was part of the maturity process of a professional athlete, taking a normal hockey player & helping him be the hockey player that you want to become.

The mental game coaching, training, drills and overall mental game techniques using hypnosis got me to the point where I was able to achieve the goals that I was setting for myself.

He helped me be the best goalie I could be. He helped me with mindsets, intensity, focus. it was another stepping stone  in how to strive to be the best & not be satisfied with where you are. It's a staple in how to prepare and how to see yourself being the best hockey player in the world and to be more of a professional & strive to continuously reach your goals. The intensity behind it was incredible.

It gave me a breakthrough on how to control the mindset going into practice and a game. Now only how to compete but to be the best and believe in yourself, mentally flipping a switch and switch off outside distractions, pressures and step into the zone when practicing or playing hockey.

TROY CROWDER, NJ Devils "Enforcer"
Talks About Working On His Mental Game With Hypnotist Pete Siegel.

I reached Troy up in Canada. He coaches hockey &  he also has invented an awesome device that helps hockey players skate faster. It's called, "55 Flex"
and if you are a serious hockey player then you should take a good look at his awesome hockey product. Troy was happy to speak with me to discuss  being hypnotized by Pete for the mental game of hockey. Here's a very short version of the interview.

"The thing I remember most about Pete was his intensity & his passion & belief for what he was doing & that he wanted the best for our hockey team. He was a very intense guy. I learned that not only do you
need to train your body to be at the most elite levels but you also need to have the mind to go along with it and its abilities to. I was about 19 or so at the time when I played hockey for the NJ Devils.

The coaches were being progressive & brought him in to work with the team on the mental game of hockey & to be stronger and more confident in our strengths & your powers & it got you so that you were unstoppable & in the mindset so that you could accomplish whatever you had to accomplish & that you had the power to do so. He did hypnosis sessions to take it to another level.

I was an enforcer so I did a lot of fighting & you really had to be mentally strong to get yourself there. You have to be able to muster up that energy to get in a fight against a player that you are really not all that mad at so you need to use mental strength in there.

I don't know if I really understood the power of what was going on until later in life when I realized the power of positive thinking & setting your mindset to accomplishing goals & believing in yourself. I used that positive mental state many times over sense then. Even now I have my kids use certain "trigger words" when they play hockey so when you step on the ice you remember what you are supposed to do and know that your end goal is, and that you have to believe in yourself.
